About Jack Chain Tension
Jack Chain is designed for decorative purposes or hanging light items, such as various signs, flower pots, fluorescent lights, bird feeders, children’s toys, etc., and must not be used for overhead lifting.
Breaking Load refers to the maximum force a jack chain can withstand before breaking, representing the ultimate capacity of the jack chain. It is strictly prohibited to use this force as a standard for the working load.
Working Load Limit is the maximum force that the jack chain can safely withstand. This load is usually much lower than the breaking load.
Safety Factor is a value that represents the safety margin of a chain, calculated as the ratio of the breaking load to the working load limit. A higher safety factor indicates a safer chain. However, this standard is typically only used for overhead lifting chains, and there is no such standard for jack chains.

The double jack chain features relatively short and small links, with the diameter of each individual link exceeding half the total length of the link, while the diameter of each link in the standard jack chain is exactly half the total link length.
During production, the ends of the wire for the standard jack chain are bent and aligned at the midpoint of the wire, whereas for the double jack chain, they extend beyond the midpoint of the wire. As a result, the double jack chain appears shorter and smaller, and is capable of withstanding greater tensile forces than the standard jack chain.

Carbon steel jack chain is available in a range of surface treatments, including zinc plating, black oxide, and electrophoresis coating, which affect both appearance and corrosion resistance.
Brass Jack Chain
The brass jack chain is made of brass wire. It is naturally corrosion-resistant and has a warm golden appearance, and is very suitable for decorative applications. A brass jack chain is a good choice for antique-style lighting, chandeliers, and display fixtures where appearance matters as much as function.
Stainless Steel Jack Chain
